Humpty Dumpty Cookies



These cute Humpty Dumpty Cookies are ideal for children's parties and special occasions. Everyone will enjoy the buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies with colorful icing and candy decorations!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Assorted colored icing red, blue, green, yellow, etc
  • Assorted candy decorations candy eyes, sprinkles, etc

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a dough forms

Divide the dough into two equal portions, flatten each into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour

Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper

On a floured surface, roll out one disc of dough to about 1/4 inch thickness

Using a large egg-shaped cookie cutter, cut out cookies from the rolled dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden

Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before decorating

Decorate the cooled cookies with assorted colored icing to resemble Humpty Dumpty's face and clothing

Add candy decorations, such as candy eyes and sprinkles, to complete the look

Let the icing set before serving or storing the cookies in an airtight container
